THE PATIENT PARTICPATION GROUP (PPG)

HAS EXISTED FOR JUST OVER 1 YEAR AND HAS AIMS INCLUDING THOSE BELOW:

1 To facilitate and enable dialogue between patients and the practice team and

promote patient involvement in the Practice.

2 To provide a framework for the input of information relating to health commissioning

priorities.

3 To ensure patients’ needs are considered in the development of Practice systems e.g.

appointment systems.

4 To review and where appropriate provide advice and recommendations on patient surveys.

OUR ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDE:

1 Notice boards, suggestion boxes and leaflet racks put up in the waiting rooms in both

surgeries – July 2010 and September 2011

2 PPG WordPress site: wwwlangtonppg.wordpress.com – June 2010

This free web site is run by the PPG.  We welcome comments from patients and/or carers about the Practice and the local health service – it’s free to look at it and post comments.

3 Alcohol tissue sachets at Lichfield reception for staff to clean the patient check – in screen, approximately every hour, and available to patients if they wish to clean the screen before they use it –
